McLemore Cove School of Traditional Arts seeks to rekindle interest in and teach the arts that were prevalent throughout the Appalachian mountains to a new generation of people. We offer multi-day classes in many traditional Appalachian art forms, from knitting and quilting to canning and preserving. Each class is taught by knowledgeable craftsmen and women with years of experience. Along with learning these longstanding art forms, participants enjoy bunk style housing, meals, and spending time on the beautiful campus located at the base of Lookout Mountain in McLemore Cove.
